Eisteddfod
Translated from English; in Welsh culture, an eisteddfod is a festival with various competitions, including poetry and music. The term eisteddfod, which consists of two Welsh morphemes: eistedd, which means ‘to sit’, and fod, which means ‘to be’, means ‘to sit together’, according to Hywel Teifi Edwards.
Much like the Welsh original, eisteddfods are competitions that involve testing individuals in singing, dancing, acting and musicianship.
At Panorama Primary we firmly believe to showcase our learner’s talents for music, dance, visual arts, literature, original performances and much more; at various platforms and through a variety of institutions. Learners also get the opportunity to participate in the annual Tygerberg Eisteddfod Competition.
