We enter  2 teams into our Chess league with 6 players per team.  Players are chosen according to merit and any grade.  There isn’t enough opportunities for each player to play in a match, as the results of the matches determine which league we play in and the result of our School.  Each player, however,  has an opportunity to try out for the team positions.

Our school offers both mini and senior chess.

Mini chess:  13:20 – 14:20.  It is arranged in such a way so that children who play mini netball and rugby can play chess on Tuesdays and those who play mini hockey can then play chess on a Thursday.

Senior chess:  14:30 – 15:30

Chess matches are on Fridays from 14:00 onwards.
