AFTERCARE 2025 – GRADE R

Interested parents can send an email to aftercare@panoramaps.co.za with their child’s name and contact details. Only ACCEPTED Grade R learners’ parents will be contacted for space. Space is limited. Please contact the school for more information.

AFTERCARE TIMES

DUTIES AND ROUTINE OF SUPERVISORS

We have 13 supervisors at the centre.

• Each supervisor has a sign-in register and curricular activity list for their respective groups.
• Parents need to call the following numbers when collecting their children at the Grade R gate – 0661787971 or 0767954755.
• Only personnel are allowed at the centre, parents and other visitors need to wait at the Grade R gate, where they will be assisted by a staff member.
• Grade 1 and 2 learners are collected at school by the responsible personnel. Learners who participate in curricular activities get dressed at school and go directly to the sports grounds. After practice, they then go directly to the aftercare centre.
• Parents are requested to inform the centre if the children will be collected after school by themselves or someone else. No aftercare learners are allowed to wait for their parents at the school gate if the centre hasn’t been informed.

PLAY AREAS

• Grade R learners play separately on their own playground. If it rains, the children remain in their classrooms.
• Grade 1 to 7 learners play outside on the field. If it rains, they go to their respective classes.
• The areas are always manned to ensure proper supervision.

HOMEWORK

• There are two Afrikaans and two English supervisors for Grades 1 and 2. They collect the children between 13:00 and 14:00 and accompany them to their classes.
• Grade 3 to 7 learners go to their respective classes between 14:45 and 16:30.
• Supervision is always provided.
• Parents must inform the school in writing, should they prefer that their child does not do his/her homework at school.
• Should extra-curricular times conflict with study times, the learner will forfeit his/her study time.

HOLIDAY FEES

Holiday fees are not included in the monthly Aftercare fee. Parents who require their children to attend Aftercare during the holidays will pay a fixed daily rate per child. Holiday fees are paid, in cash, at the Aftercare and you will receive a receipt. No alternative payment options will be available. Funds will be provided for creative activities.

AFTERCARE FEES

Fees are payable by debit order only when paying monthly and over a 10-month period, February to November, on or before the first day of each month. If fees are not paid in time, the aftercare service will be terminated immediately. Parents will be notified by SMS and in writing that these services have been terminated, and learners on the waiting list will be given the available space.
