Junior Phase
Subjects:

Computer Education:
- Basic computer skills,
- Robotics & Coding for Junior Phase.
Assessment:
- Continuous Informal Assessment is done daily. Formal Assessment Tasks (as prescribed by the Department) are completed every term according to each Subject.
- Combination of Informal and Formal Assessment results used to determine the final mark of every Subject.
Learner Support and Enrichment:
- Remedial and tutor classes are offered for learners who require more consolidation.
- Group teaching is offered for enrichment or the opportunity to move onto the next concept in both Home Language, Mathematics and First Additional Language.
Parent Evenings:
Held once a term where the learner’s report is discussed with the parents.
Orientation Day:
For new Grade 1s that are enrolled.
Senior Phase
Intermediate Phase (Gr.4 – 6) and Senior Phase (Gr.7)
The Gr.4 to Gr.7 curriculum is based on the Department of Basic Education’s Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS). The National Curriculum Statement (Gr. R – 12) has been designed to promote social transformation; active and critical thinking; high knowledge and skills; progression; human rights; credibility; quality and efficiency.

Assessment:
- Regular School-Based Assessment (SBA) takes place every term. Termly assessment timetables are provided to the learners. Examinations are written during the second and fourth term.
- A combination of school-based assessments, formal tests, and exams are used to determine the learners’ final point.
- During the third term the Department of Basic Education provides the Annual National Assessment (ANA) question papers to all Gr.4 – 7 learners.
- During the fourth term the Gr.6 learners are evaluated by the Western Cape Education Department’s Systemic Evaluation.
Text Books:
Learners receive textbooks for each subject from Panorama Primary School.
Workbooks:
Each year the Western Cape Education Department provides Home Language and Mathematics Workbooks to each learner.
Exercise Books:
School fees cover the cost of books that allow for regular writing.
