Afrikaans Grade R Campus
Welcome to the Grade R campus. We are a proud part of Panorama Primary School. The objective of our Grade R campus is to create a playing and learning environment which offers inspiring activities and provides children with opportunities to develop in a well-rounded manner.
There are 3 different aspects of development for all ages of children:
- Social/Emotional development – Involves development of feeling and emotion and social skills.
- Cognitive development – Involves development of the mind and thinking skills.
- Physical development – Involves development of the body, and motor skills.
The daily programme includes:
Theme related discussions.
Language and Mathematics concept development.
A wide range of creative activities.
Music and movement.
Construction and fantasy play.
Perceptual games and puzzles.
Stories.
Optional extra-mural activities are offered by outside professionals:
Ballet.
Click-A-Mouse (Computer skills).
Gymnastics.
Karate.
Mini-Rugby (Winter).
Teddy Tennis.
Music Enrichment.
Playball.
Ball skills are offered for learners who do not wish to participate in the above extra-curricular activities.
We offer six classes for Grade R: four English and two Afrikaans. Six teachers, four assistants, one secretary, one handyman/gardener, and two general assistants/cleaners make up our enthusiastic, devoted, and compassionate crew.
School hours:
Grade R: 07:45 – 12:30 (Summer and Winter)
Gates open at 7:30
