Panorama Primary has established an Educator Support Team (EST) to support the educators, in assisting with identifying pupils with special educational needs. The team is co-ordinated by Remedial teacher, Mrs Marietjie Marais and a team of two teachers per grade, an Educator in remedial speech, language and auditory perception (Mrs Dalene Maree); an Occupational Therapist (Mrs Rose Prins) and an Educational Councellor (Mrs Ilse Louw).

Support for learners, where learning barriers are identified, will follow this process:
All Gr. R and 1 pupils will receive remedial assistance, free of charge, from Mrs Marais during school hours.
All Gr. 2 – 7 learners identified with learning barriers, will be supported by the Educator Support Team.

If more specialised support is required the remedial teacher could be contacted for assistance. Speech and occupational therapy will be provided during school hours by private tutors and will be from Gr. R – 7.

The EST will refer learners, who may be in need of psychometric testing, or referrals of learners to special schools.
