Panorama Primary has established an Educator Support Team (EST) to support the educators, in assisting with identifying pupils with special educational needs. The team is coordinated by a Remedial teacher, Mrs. Marietjie Marais and a team of two teachers per grade, an Educator in remedial speech, language and auditory perception (Mrs. Dalene Maree); an Occupational Therapist (Mr.s Rose Prins) and an Educational Counselor (Mrs Ilse Louw).

Support for learners, where learning barriers are identified, will follow this process:
All Gr. R and 1 pupils will receive remedial assistance, free of charge, from Mrs Marais during school hours.
All Gr. 2 – 7 learners identified with learning barriers, will be supported by the Educator Support Team.

If additional specialized support is needed, the remedial teacher can be contacted for assistance. Speech and occupational therapy will be provided during school hours by private tutors for grades R to 7.

The EST will refer learners, who may need psychometric testing or referrals of learners to special schools.
